InFlux Partners was founded in 2006 as a spin-off to Sara Grace Recruiting (SGR). SGR was launched in 1998 and specialized in recruiting for Sales, Business Development and Consulting positions in Venture-Backed start-up companies.

When George Ristad joined Sara Grace Newhall in 2004, they expanded the business model to include Product Management and Product Marketing roles. At that time, they also began offering Premium Targeted searches, and representing not only start-ups, but also multi-billion dollar global companies.

In 2006 InFlux Partners formally began. Business Development and Client Management are currently led by Sara Grace Newhall; George Ristad heads the Recruiting team.
